The Ladies Nationals were held in Underberg and fished in the club’s still waters and river beats. The 18 competitors produced 128 fish under tough conditions. The river sections were challenging with strong flow and afternoon downpours. The KZNFFA must be complimented for their fine work over the weekend.
Members meanwhile produced produced 105 fish from 91 rods in the club’s still water. The heaviest was a fine 2.3 kg hen out of Trelevans. Water temps are sitting at 20 deg C with good visibility.
Our river beats produced 20 fish to 20 rods with some good catches in all sections. A fine 1.3 kg was caught and released in the Upper Mzimkhulu . A fair number of 350g trout are also being caught and released.
