Fishing over the long weekend was particularly good with a fine hen of 4.1kgs coming out of North End and some very good browns coming out of Isabella. The rest of the still waters have also fished well and produced everything from stockies to 1.6kg and 2.5kg fish.
132 rods produced 125 fish from the clubs still waters. Visitors have made up 55% of the bookings and we look forward to the New Year.
Sadly the river beats have been flowing too strong to fish with big rain all over. We have however had a few hot days so the rivers should settle for Christmas.
Fishing early on New Years day with a keen member, three different flies produced strong fish before sunrise. The water temp has settled between 21-23 deg C which is on the warm side, remembering that we had two days of 40deg C. The late afternoon thunderstorms have indeed kept the water levels on the up and the river beats have been fast flowing bank to bank.
We’re also proud to announce that visitors and members have also been the order of the month with a number of new members joining up. Great news and keep spreading the word.
Finally, enjoy your festive season and see you soon in the New Year.
