Tretower Upper & Lower

These two beats are on the upper reaches of the Umzimkulu river towards Drakensberg Gardens Hotel. They are particularly popular as the tar road to the hotel meanders along the valley providing easy access to the river form any point. Also, during times of high rainfall they can be somewhat easier to fish than the stronger flowing lower stretches. There are two beats on Tretower with the dividing point being in front of the Old Hatchery restaurant.
